How It Works

The easiest way to get kids skating.

Skateez has been designed to provide support for beginning skaters in the same way training wheels work on a bicycle. The arms are rigid enough to hold the skate vertical but also flexible enough to allow the skater to ‘edge’ the blade to propel forward. Traditional bobskates or other training devices only let beginning skaters to ‘walk’ on the ice. Skateez provides a platform for learning the basics of real skating motion. The design is intended to fit a multitude of skate styles and may require some minor adjustments when installing.

Step 1
Open Skateez and
hold each half

Step 2
Adjust the arms under
the skate and through
the blade opening

Step 3
Tighten vectro strap
over the skate

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT SKATEEZ

I’m writing to tell you about the wonderful experience my son had after strapping on Skateez.

He is 7 years old and, up until yesterday, lacked confidence on the ice. I put him in lessons when he was just 3 and he was obviously not ready – he fell constantly and had a decidedly bad experience. After that, it took me a couple of years just to get him to agree to put on rental skates a couple of times a year. On the occasions we have been out, he has been clingy and shaky and we’ve not lasted more than a few rounds.

All that changed yesterday. He was absolutely thrilled with his newfound independence on the ice, and reveled in the fact that he was able to completely let go of my hand. The sight of him waving as he skated past me was absolutely magical! And he told me on the way home he wants to buy skates now that he can skate like his friends.

No doubt this is music to your ears since I’m sure you invented Skateez with kids like my son in mind – I was eager to let you know you made a big difference to my little boy yesterday.

Simple but brilliant. My little guy went from being a grumpy ankle burner to a happy smiling pro skating effortlessly literally within minutes, right before my eyes. I wish Skateez was around when I was a kid.

Just wanted to drop a line to say thank-you for this awesome invention!

When it came time for us to take our 2 1/2 year old to the rink to experience skating for the first time, we were so nervous that he would not enjoy it. I had been reading online how many people discouraged the use of bob skates for first timers because it only taught how to walk on the ice instead of letting them experience any of the fundamentals of actually skating. I saw your product at a Canadian Tire store and decided to purchase it.

Within 10 mins of being on the ice for the first time, my son no longer wanted me to carry him around. He was off to the races on his own with the help of Skateez and a pylon. He LOVED the experience and has been asking to go back again (we are going again today :))

Thanks so much for the invention and for allowing us to have another activity we can enjoy as a family!!

I discovered Skateez last week on the ice. We went skating for the first time with our twins. Misery! We had 4 adults take turns to give a break to our poor old backs!

When we saw a girlfriend with Skateez, it intrigued us. It seemed so wonderful that we went to buy for our kids.

This morning we went to try it and I can confirm that this is fab-u-lous! The guys managed to stand alone, and the ice was extra slippery compared to last weekend.

Having tried bob skates and all kinds of other stuff, I can guarantee you that this is by far the best thing. It's like training wheels on a bike! And it installs in 2 minutes. It also easy to remove when you want to check whether your child is ready to skate without support.

My mother found them at Canadian Tire but I think you can also find them at Walmart for about $ 20. I'm already looking forward to skating again!
